Quality
Define quality checks and control points across receiving and production, capture results, and hold or release stock.
Updated April 14, 2026
Quality builds inspection into your flow — define checks, run them at the right points, and hold or release stock based on the result.
Define checks & control points
- Go to XO Operations → Quality → Checks → New.
- Create a check (measurements, pass/fail criteria, tolerances).
- Attach it to a control point — on receiving (incoming goods), in production (in-process or final), or before dispatch.
Run inspections
- At each control point, XO prompts the inspection.
- Record results; pass releases stock, fail raises an alert and can hold the lot (links to Tracking).
- Capture photos/notes for the record.

Best practices
- Inspect at receiving to stop bad stock entering — cheapest place to catch defects.
- Tie quality holds to lot tracking so only affected stock is quarantined.
- Trend failure rates by supplier (feeds Sourcing scoring).
Troubleshooting
- Stock released despite fail. Check that the control point enforces a hold on fail.
- No inspection prompt. Confirm the check is attached to the active control point.
