Audit
Keep a complete trail — per-record activity logs, change history, login logs, and a recycle bin to restore deleted records.
Updated February 10, 2026
Audit makes XO accountable — every change is logged, every deletion is recoverable, and you can prove who did what, when. Essential for controls, disputes, and external audits.
Activity logs
- Every record carries an activity log — created/edited/deleted, by whom, with before/after values.
- A system-wide activity log gives a cross-module timeline for investigations.

Change history
Drill into field-level history on key records (journals, invoices, employees) to see exactly what changed across versions.
Recycle bin
Deleted records go to a recycle bin — restore them within the retention window instead of losing data permanently. (Permanent deletion stays restricted by Access.)
Login & access logs
Track logins, devices, and access events to spot anomalies and meet security requirements.
Best practices
- Pair audit with least-privilege roles and approval workflows for real control.
- Review login logs periodically for unusual access.
- Rely on period locking (Org) plus audit trails to protect closed books.
Troubleshooting
- Can’t find who changed a value. Open the record’s activity log or field history.
- Record gone. Check the recycle bin before assuming permanent loss.
