Promotions is your online growth toolkit — coupons, offers, bundles, gift cards, and abandoned-cart recovery — sharing the same engine as Loyalty so rewards work online and at POS.

Coupons

  1. Go to XO Commerce → Promotions → Coupons → New (or a group for bulk codes).
  2. Set the discount, conditions (min spend, products, first-order), validity, and usage limits.
  3. Distribute codes; track redemptions per coupon.

Offers & bundles

  • Create cart, bank, and special offers that apply automatically at checkout.
  • Build discount bundles (“buy 2 get 1”, combo pricing).

Gift cards

Sell and redeem gift cards online; balances are tracked and usable across channels and POS.

Abandoned-cart recovery

  1. Enable abandoned-cart reminders (with or without a discount incentive).
  2. XO emails/SMSs customers who left items, with a link back to their cart.

Best practices

  • Use first-order coupons to convert new visitors.
  • Test abandoned-cart with vs without a discount — recover margin where you can.
  • Keep conditions clear so offers don’t stack unintentionally.

Troubleshooting

  • Coupon rejected. Conditions/usage limit/validity not met — the cart shows the reason.
  • Offer didn’t apply. Check overlap rules and that the cart meets the conditions.
